Update - v1.0.4 Bug Fixes and Improvements

Hello, It's Maetdol Games.

We have fixed reported bugs and made several improvements.

About v1.0.4 updates.
*Major Updates

Improved Area Display


The area of attacks that can and cannot be parried is now clearer.
Of course, you will have to check for attacks that do not display area yourself!
Improved Bosses


The area of some boss patterns whose areas were not displayed have been displayed, and the difficulty of some bosses has been lowered.
Please check below for more details!
Modified Statue Designs


The designs of some statues have been modified so that you can guess what the effect will be based on the design of them.
Improved Reforger


The way Reforger is used has been modified.
However, if you select a weapon, you still cannot cancel it, so choose your weapon carefully!
Erosion Tutorial


If you have an eroded weapon, the erosion effect is applied regardless of the weapon you are equipped with.
However, most players are unaware of this.
When you first obtain an eroded weapon, an explanatory UI will appear.
Improved Totems

We have improved the performance of some unusable or weak totems.
Please check below for more details!
*Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the game sometimes crashed during No. 997 battle.
    → Although it is not certain because it is difficult to reproduce, the part that was presumed to be the cause of the issue has been fixed.
    → If crash occurs again, please report it!
  • Fixed an issue where no data was left to Resume when the game crashed.
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes the door would not open even if all enemies in the room were killed in 'Slumbering Sun Empire'.
  • Fixed an issue where Weapon: ‘Shield’ only attack second and third hit.
  • Fixed an issue where the twins with the effect of Curse: ‘Undying’ are revived, become invincible when they receive the effect of Curse: ‘Undying’ again.
  • Fixed an issue where the armadillo kept rolling without hitting the wall
  • Fixed an issue where the player's angle was distorted when defeating Regina while being suppressed by her.
  • Fixed an issue where Regina's 2nd phase's sound of the spinning spear of suppression pattern was torn.
  • Fixed an issue where the barrier was abnormally obtained while possessing Totem: ‘Transformer’.
  • Fixed an issue where Totem: ‘Corpse Bat’ moved strangely.
  • Fixed an issue where projectiles would damage the player when parrying guided projectiles while possessing Totem: 'Kaleidoscope'.
  • Fixed an issue where keys input in the UI were inputted at the same time as returning to the game.


*Abilities

  • Ability: ‘Dirty Attack’ ATK increase - 5% / 10% → 7% / 15%
  • Ability: ‘Hard Skin’ DMG Taken reduction - 10% → 12%
  • Ability: ‘Exploit Weakness’ duration fixed to 3s, ATK increase 10% / 20% / 30%
  • Ability: ‘Concussion’ parry stun duration increase - 0.25 / 0.5 / 0.75s→ 0.2 / 0.4 / 0.6s
  • Ability: ‘Berserker’ applied HP - below 30% → below 50%


*Enemies

  • Number of baby maggots summoned when a maggot dies - 4 → 3


*Bosses

  • Display Lupus's breath area
  • Modified so that Don Sagnan does not continuously attack until a certain HP is reached.
  • Display Don Sagnan's laser area
  • Increased waiting time between press/coil patterns for Perpetual Energy Device
  • Display Perpetual Energy Device's laser area
  • Display No. 997 phase 1's continuous stomping area
  • Display No. 997 phase 1's jump attack area
  • Display No. 997's suppression charge area
  • Increased waiting time for Regina phase 1 and 2 rush follow-up attacks


*Totems

  • Totem: 'Magnifying Glass' CD- 4 rooms → 60s
  • Totem: ‘Corpse Bat’ summon chance - 40% → 50%
  • Totem: ‘Noble's Cloak’ effect - Reduces HP DMG Taken by 70% → Reduces DMG Taken by 25%
  • Totem: ‘Defense Matrix’ duration - 10s→ 15s
  • Totem: ‘Twisted Heart’ Max HP increase - 180 → 200
  • Totem: ‘Berserker’s Dagger’ applied HP - 30% or below → 50% or below
  • Totem: ‘Slime Barrel’ CD- 15s→ 8s
  • Added wall climbing effect using up and down keys to Totem: ‘Spider Gloves’
  • Totem: ‘Dancer’s Blade’ duration - 10s→ 13s
  • Totem: ‘Thorn Leash’ HP restoring amount 5 → 10
  • Totem: ‘Feed for Friends’ ATK and ATK Speed increase - 20% → 30%
  • Totem: ‘Miracle Grow’ MaxHP increase - 10 → 13
  • Totem: ‘Warm Coat’ HP restoring amount - 8 → 6%
  • Totem: ‘Armadillo's Carapace' CD- 40 seconds → 20 seconds
  • Totem: ‘Empty Bottle’ blood storage limit - 30 → 50
  • Totem: ‘Hextech Battery’ SP charge amount - 15% → 20%
  • Totem: ‘Alarm Clock’ activation chance - 20% → 30%
  • Totem: ‘Grim Scythe’ execution chance - 1% → 2%
  • Totem: ‘Yongbong-tang’ Max HP increase - 15 → 20
  • Totem: ‘Explosive Seed' damage increased
  • Totem: ‘Angel Wings’ effect modified
    → Falling speed decreases while holding the jump key → You can dash in the direction of the movement key
  • Added an effect that increases ATK by 15% when Active Totem is on CD to Totem: ‘Sticky Bomb’ .
  • Number of Totem: ‘Curse Doll’ nails - 3 → 2
    → The total damage is the same.


*Traces of Nightmare

  • Blessing: ‘Grand Rejuvepill’ HP Recovery amount 30% → 20%, DMG Taken reduction 20% → 15%

Update - v1.0.3 Bug Fixes

We have fixed additional reported bugs.

About v1.0.3 updates.

  • The right stick no longer works in the UI when using the pad.
    → Ability and Nightmare Analyzer upgrades become possible.
    → We apologize to Pad users and Steam Deck users for any inconvenience this may have caused.
  • Fixed an issue where the effect of this totem was not applied when Totem: 'Chameleon' copying this specific totem.
  • Fixed an issue where smuggler's items were sometimes purchased without consuming HP.
  • Fixed an issue where the SP Attack of Weapon: ‘Sniper Rifle: Snipe’ targeted dead enemies.
  • Fixed an issue where Totem: ‘Cannon Dog’ worked abnormally sometimes.

Update - v1.0.2 Bug Fixes and Minor Changes

We have fixed bugs and parts that needed fixing that were reported after official release.
We are continuously checking, so please let us know of any bugs or anything you would like to recommend for improvements.

About v1.0.2 update contents.

  • Fixed an issue where the already cleared control room icon was not turned off when continuing.
  • Fixed an issue where running continued when interacting with a story object in the ‘Lupine Forest’ fountain room.
  • Modified so that all arrows are removed when clearing the control room
  • Fixed an issue where the player was sometimes forced to move to a room and disappear
    → We cannot guarantee that this will never happen, but we have fixed it so that there is no problem when quitting and resuming the game.
  • Fixed an issue where the Overload Attack did not proceed when firing a parry reinforcement bullet during Overload with Weapon: 'Revolver: Fanning'.
  • Fixed an issue where continuous attacks were possible when Weapon: 'Shotgun: Speedloader' fired immediately after parrying during Overload.
  • Fixed an issue where the charging sound would be played again when moving the room while charging the Buster Stance of Weapon: 'Buster Sword'

  • Modified so that time does not pass when Totem: 'Defibrillators' is in the boss kill state.
  • Fixed an issue where Totem: ‘Hourglass’ could not be used in ‘Ruined Sanctuary'.
  • Modified so that Blessing: ‘Dream within a dream’ is always activated first among all resurrections.
  • No. 997 no longer uses body slam(suppression) immediately after using chain binding.
    → We checked ourselves, but contrary to intention, there isn't enough time to avoid it. We apologize to any players who may have been offended.
  • Fixed an issue where the Snake Priest's Ward and Nightmare 5's Ward seemed overlapped.
  • Fixed an issue where the component Totems of the achieved Totem Set were displayed in black in the inventory.
  • Fixed an issue where the Gem Recharge Rate increased but the text in the inventory status window was red.
  • Fixed an issue where people playing in languages not currently supported during Early Access could not play the game.
  • Fixed an issue where play histories could not be properly checked.
  • The mouse no longer locked in center if no mouse movements are mapped in the input settings.

Nightmare: The Lunatic Official Release!

hello. This is Maetdol Games.

Nightmare: The Lunatic has finally been official released!

We were able to come this far thanks to the love and feedback we received during the early access.

There are many things we would like to develop in the future.
So please give us lots of love.
The more love there is, the more content there is.

Please spread the word about the official release!



If you encounter any issues while playing, please report them through the Steam community or our official Discord.
We will work to address them as quickly as possible!

1. About Early access save data

Retained:

Totems, Contracts, Abilities, Dream Shards


Reset:

Weapons, Event progress



Totems, Contracts, Abilities, and Dream Shards will be retained, but Weapons and Event progress will not.
Please understand that it has been reset due to changes in the save method and unlock method.

Starting with the full version, you can view statistics and play history within the game.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to check because the early access version did not have a recording function.
Please take note of this.

2. About Language

The languages currently supported are Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
We wanted to re-support all the languages that were supported in the early access period, but circumstances made it impossible…
We apologize to players from various countries who may have been waiting.
Still,

we plan to support all of them again someday, so please wait a little longer!


3. Major Updates
